The “Cinque Terre” is a group of five small ancient fortified villages overlooking the sea, almost inaccessible until just a few decades ago, when a road was built. The National Park of Cinque Terre is a natural sanctuary and an UNESCO World Environmental and Cultural Heritage site.
Just 1h far from Livorno/Pisa, this amazing tour begins in Portovenere, where your driver will lead you to the boat that will bring you to the first of the five wonderful villages: Riomaggiore. This picturesque village has a small beach, a wharf and is framed by coloured houses. You will enjoy the fabulous views over the coastal sandstones and Punta Mesco as you walk along “Via dell’Amore”, which means the walk of love! This is a trail suitable for everyone, it is approximately 1 km long and takes around 20 minutes.
Then you will arrive at the second village, named Manarola, the oldest of the towns in the Cinque Terre. Another boat will take you to Vernazza, passing in front of Corniglia: the boat is not able to stop here but you can take photographs and delight in the beauty of this village as you pass it by. Once in Vernazza, you can browse around the little village, take a coffee by the sea and finally you will end your tour in Monterosso al Mare. Here you will find your driver waiting for you.
You are invited to stop for as long as you like in any of the hospitable villages, where many tipical restaurants offer plenty of delicious fish dishes and you can savor the local wines produced on the hills that surround you in Cinque Terre!
To complete your magical day out, your driver will travel back along the Panoramic Road which runs on the top of the mountains where, once again, you will have the opportunity to admire the sensational wonders of the Cinque Terre, as if looking down from the sky!
Travelling back along the highway, our magic tour will then step in Pisa, the magnificent town of the Torre Pendente, the worldwide renown Wonder.
We will park right in the middle of the famous “Campo dei Miracoli”, the field of miracles: this square hosts the “Duomo”, the “Battistero”, the “Campo Santo” and – of course – the “Campanile”, better known as the Leaning Tower of Pisa. All building are mostly made of white marbles from the the old ages, very precious resources for those times.
If you wish, you can climb the Tower but tickets are available with a little extra charge (tickets must be booked in advance). Please note that children under the age of 8th are not admitted.
